The “RISC” Method
The “RISC” method is an architecture for developing industry-stable Web UIs: the browser’s capabilities are only used in a minimal way, by using some very basic elements (DIVs and INPUTs). All dialog components (button, field, grid, dialogs) are assembled out of these basic elements. The assembly is done by JavaScript component libraries.
Result:
- Substantial improvement of cross browser / cross device compatibility; the compatibility problem is solved “by design” (and not “by test”)
- Substantial improvement of layouting capabilities
- Excellent client performance
