CaptainCasa RapidApp uses “Low-Code speed” for the standardized parts of your application: master data, control data, business documents. And leverages “Java power” when it goes beyond that!
The fundament of CaptainCasa is the Enterprise Client with its ability to create demanding applications in an efficient, “Java only!” way. On top of this, using the technology of Enterprise Client, there is RapidApp – a framework to take over the data aspects of your application without any coding, so that you can concentrate on the demanding aspects.
When looking on typical projects then a couple of dialogs are always the same: you edit some data – e.g. master data or control data – using some “list on the left”, selecting an instance that shows up “on the right” to be edited. Some people call these types of dialogs “CRUD-dialogs” (created, retrieve, update, delete). RapidApp provides a powerful infrastructure to accelerate the development of this type of dialogs significantly – and same time increasing the quality and the richness of functions in this area.
RapidApp includes:
- You set up the data structure of your entities – reaching from simple entities to entities with relations to entities that are assembled out of other entities.
- You define static logic (mandatory fields, relations, data types, …).
- You create the dialogs (lists, details) by dragging and dropping the entity properties into the visual editor.
- You add your dialogs into a workplace environment for the end user.
All this is done in a “no code” mode! And the result is including:
- High quality dialogs, in which for example consistency checks are shown to the user on field level
- Personalization of dialogs (e.g. column selection in grids)
- Automated registration and tracing of changes to data instances at runtime
- Export- and import-APIs for extracting the data (lists, entity details) and for importing the data from/into your application
- Integration into authorization management
RapidApp creates the entrance points on view, controller and data level which you can use for plugging own logic into. The own logic is added as Java code – there is no limit of flexibility as result.
